I got in the car earlier today, flipped on NPR, and heard an unidentified male voice explain, earnestly, that "A President is justified in doing things for the common good that would be criminal if done by an individual." Diane Rheem, sounding shocked, said "That's quite a statement." At that point, I arrived at my destination, so maybe there was a context that would have made this less horrifying
