When former DNC chief Joe Andrew switched his allegiance from Clinton to Obama, he decried the damage the Clinton campaign was doing to the party's chances in the fall. Now, from Huffington Post, comes a report that confirms the intentional nature of that damage.

As I sit here, I find something eerily similar between the Clinton campaign and what can now only be called the Reverend Wright campaign. Both seem to operate from the view that if they don't get what they want, they get to ruin it for the other guy.

I just got an email from a good friend of mine, Steve Sanders. He writes: Dear friends,

This message is going to my lawyer and non-lawyer friends in Indiana whom I know share my belief that anxiety over national security cannot cause us to lose sight of our core values.

The attached letter from Habeas Lawyers for Obama makes many important points, but here is the argument in a nutshell:

Poll
Will the Choice of Biden and not Bayh Make it Harder for Obama to Win Indiana?
Yes. Evan Bayh would have energized Indiana Democrats and "tipped" the state.
0%
Maybe. But choosing Bayh would have made it much, much harder to win the election.
71%
No. Indiana voters know Bayh, and choosing him would have reflected poorly on Obama's judgment.
29%
Hard to say.
