Judge Bates’ ruling was based largely on the fact that there simply is no precedent for their immunity in existing case law.
Think we'll hear any conservative ranting about "judicial activism" on this one?

Markos explains the McCain strategy behind the nasty commercials about Obama's cancellation of one visit to the troops...the ones saying that he cancelled it because he couldn't take cameras. (The ad has been called dishonest even by the mainstream media--notably Andrea Mitchell, who said she was there, and it was out-and-out false). Truthfulness was never the aim.
