An emailed comment made an interesting point about the two candidate's acceptance speeches. After analyzing content, he ended up with about 50% of McCain's sentences focussed on himself, and 43% on the state of the country, policy proposals, etc. He counted 14% of Obama's sentences as being about himself and those included all sentences about his wife and Joe Biden.

No. By pitching her family values as chief amongst her qualifications, she asked for it.

Anyone be interested in getting a group together for an Election Night Countdown/Celebration (fingers crossed!)

Either way the night turns out I'm thinking I'm going to need need either a shoulder to cry on or (more optimistically) others to celebrate with. (Lord knows I'm not going to sleep at all that night.)

Oh and are we still getting together this month at Tea's Me?

Sadly, I wonder just how much Bristol Palin will bear the brunt of the blame when/if McCain/Palin loose instead of people focusing on her mother's inadequacies.

The thought made my stomach churn a little. I feel for the poor girl.
