This, friends, was funny. Watch as comedienne Wanda Sykes winds her own self up talking about the GOP national convention, which she called the "Dr. Evil Board Meeting."

"op-por-tun-ism: the art, policy, or practice of taking advantage of opportunities or circumstances often without regard for principles or consequences."

This most recent stunt of McCain’s—seeking to postpone the debate because he is trailing Obama in the polls, and using the economic crisis as his reason—shows him for what he is: a crass opportunist.

And now there is talk that he wants to use next Thursday, the night set for the vice-presidential debate, for the presidential debate, postponing the veep debate until “a date yet to be determined.”

Can there be anyone in America with half a brain who can’t see through this shameful attempt by McCain to buy time for himself and, most especially, his running mate?

Is barring Roland Burris a seat in the Senate racism?
Yes. Anyone notice he's the lone black guy set to replace the other lone black guy?

Nope. Blago's still under scrutiny and his appointments-white and black-are too "hot" right now.

Now that I can pronounce "Blagojevich" we need to find something else to talk about.
