After analyzing content, he ended up with about 50% of McCain's sentences focussed on himself, and 43% on the state of the country, policy proposals, etc. He counted 14% of Obama's sentences as being about himself and those included all sentences about his wife and Joe Biden.
For over thirty years, the GOP marketing machine has successfully branded their party with the following simple brand attributes (notice how quickly these almost visceral brand elements roll off the tongue like all good brand attributes that comprise brand mythos):

Either way the night turns out I'm thinking I'm going to need need either a shoulder to cry on or (more optimistically) others to celebrate with. (Lord knows I'm not going to sleep at all that night.)

Sadly, I wonder just how much Bristol Palin will bear the brunt of the blame when/if McCain/Palin loose instead of people focusing on her mother's inadequacies.
The thought made my stomach churn a little. I feel for the poor girl.
