Forgive the bad pun, but this quote from a story in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer pretty much sums up the real situation, and why all the GOP whining is you-know-what:

I'm sure you've all seen or heard that Colin Powell has come out to endorse Senator Obama in his run for the presidency. However, if you didn't see it, in Gen. Powell's appearance on Meet the Press--30 commercial-free minutes!--he covered the waterfront in terms of his thinking about his vote and the state of the country.
