During the election, the RJC--Republican Jewish Committee--did its best to smear Obama in the Jewish community, and to raise fears about his likely policies toward Israel, especially the among elderly Jews who are an important constituency in Florida. So--how did that dishonest effort work?

Prop 8 and its ilk have left me wondering: what definition of marriage are we following. Really. Those of the religious right have used the term "traditional marriage." By that, I'm not sure if they mean normative marriage or "Biblical marriage."
