When Passions Run High, Courtesy Runs Low.

Now, some might argue that, because it was a woman calling another woman "bitch," it was somehow less of an insult. Imagine though, if it was a Black person instead who asked about Barack Obama "How do we beat this nigger?" Doesn't even feel good reading it, does it?

McCain's response wasn't "We have our differences with our Democratic rivals, but I believe in treating people with respect. It's why I don't refer to women as 'bitches,' even when I disagree with them. I'm sure all of us believe we can debate the serious issues of the day without name-calling and degrading language." Nope. He actually said "That's an excellent question."

I've been reading comments that proclaim Democrats to be "elitists." I'm not sure how to square this with the high morals of people who are willing to sidestep frankly sexist namecalling.

Disgusting.
