It counts for something--I'm just not sure what.

Don Sherfick | 03/10/2008 - 08:27 |  Being First Lady as a Presidential Qualification

I simply don't agree with the assertion that being First Lady doesn't qualify one to be President. Don't overlook Abigail Powers Filmore, who nightly had to crawl over a snoring Millard to get to a ringing phone at 3:00 a.m. in the Lincoln Bedroom.

Huh.....there were no phones? Lincoln hadn't slept there yet? Well, maybe I have her confused with Bess Truman.

Sheila Suess Kennedy | 03/09/2008 - 09:00 |  My husband is an architect.

My husband is an architect. We've been married almost 30 years, but you'd have to be pretty dumb to think I could therefore design a house. Sharing a bed with the President is NOT executive experience--would you elect Mamie Eisenhower or Laura Bush!
