An Unworthy and Snarky Observation

Sheila Suess Kennedy | 03/26/2008 - 10:44

Okay, I'm really over Hillary Clinton and her campaign.

Yesterday, in a meeting with Richard Mellon Scaife--he of the money and vitriol behind the "vast right-wing conspiracy" that Hillary used to disdain--she opined that had SHE heard her pastor say the things Wright did, she'd have left for another church. Then she repeated the remark at a couple of press conferences.

Well, gee, Hillary. If MY spouse had humiliated me in front of the entire nation by having sex with an intern, I'd have left that spouse.

It certainly seems as if Hillary has decided that if SHE can't get the nomination, she'd just as soon see McCain win. It isn't an attractive picture.

Sheila,

The "slash and burn" mentality that seems to be emerging from Camp Clinton troubles me, too. I'm reminded of King Solomon's dilemma: the two women who both claimed the same baby. I think I know which woman Senator Clinton most clearly resembles.

No. Nothing against Hillary, but Bill is a loose canon and would be a constant distraction and/or embarrassment.
