The Definition of Chutzpah

Sheila Suess Kennedy | 04/23/2008 - 19:55

When I was growing up Jewish, I used to explain the meaning of "chutzpah" to nonJewish friends with this example: someone who kills his mother and father and then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he is an ophan, has chutzpah.

At Daily Kos, I just saw a better example: Clinton's argument that she is ahead in the popular vote (IF you exclude four caucus states, IF you include two unsanctioned states, and IF you "disenfranchise" every voter in Michigan who voted against Hillary Clinton.)

That takes a new and particularly audacious level of chutzpah.

Oops. Missed the important part, the "Subject" line. Finally, some recognition. Minor Demons and Devils everywhere rejoice.

Chelsea will be legally of age to run for President after the next two Presidential terms. Theoretically, if Senator Clinton won, and stayed on as President for two terms, Chelsea could succeed her. Chew on that for awhile.

Ray Miller | 04/28/2008 - 11:24 |  Not only chutzpah - she's delusional

I underscore Sheila's definition of chutzpah and raise you a Bill Clinton. Not only has he lost any respect he had from me, albeit not a ton, he has lost his ever loving mind in this campaign.

The Clinton's have really become so self important that if Hillary can't win the nomination no Democrat should.

Some one has to take them aside and have the birds and the bees conversation with them as long as Bill keeps it in his pants....................

Poll
Will the Choice of Biden and not Bayh Make it Harder for Obama to Win Indiana?
Yes. Evan Bayh would have energized Indiana Democrats and "tipped" the state.
0%
Maybe. But choosing Bayh would have made it much, much harder to win the election.
60%
No. Indiana voters know Bayh, and choosing him would have reflected poorly on Obama's judgment.
40%
Hard to say.
