CNN's "Black in America"

Lalita Amos | 07/15/2008 - 23:36

As many of you know, CNN will be launching its series "Black in America" on 23 July with its Black Women and Familes program. The second day will focus on Black men.

Question: is there some interest in watching this program together? If not due to the timing (it comes on at 9 pm), is there interest in getting together for breakfast on the days following each airing for discussion over a meal?

Let me know and I'll set up the logistics. Perhaps we can meet at Paradise Bakery on N. Meridian at 7 or 7:30 am to allow people time to eat and talk. Be sure to check this post often for updates.

Best,
Lalita

It certainly looks interesting. I'm sure I'll watch it if I'm off work that night or record it to my DVR to watch after I get home from work the next day.

Where's Paradise Bakery? I'm pretty familiar with N. Meridian, but can't think of a bakery that sits on Meridian. (I think there's a deli or something near Methodist where I work... Now I'm wondering if that's it.)

Poll
Will the Choice of Biden and not Bayh Make it Harder for Obama to Win Indiana?
Yes. Evan Bayh would have energized Indiana Democrats and "tipped" the state.
0%
Maybe. But choosing Bayh would have made it much, much harder to win the election.
60%
No. Indiana voters know Bayh, and choosing him would have reflected poorly on Obama's judgment.
40%
Hard to say.
