Over at Balkinization, Heather Gerkin has an interesting post, suggesting a way to achieve election reform. As she says, addressing the issue involves a "here to there problem."

Anybody interested in what Hillary did today?

but OFFENSIVELY wrong. If a recent press release from (ugh)Jim Bopp's law firm is to be believed, BOTH the Democratic and Republican parties will be represented by the offensive Mr. Bopp in an upcoming case. Per the release:

Tell me again how the Voter ID law--now blessed by our pro-authoritarian Supreme Court--will only hurt people intent on committing voter fraud?

According to the AP:

About 12 Indiana nuns were turned away Tuesday from a polling place by a fellow bride of Christ because they didn't have state or federal identification bearing a photograph.

In an Indy Star article, Mary Beth Schneider reported that "Some party members call the Democratic presidential primary fight trouble. On Saturday, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton called it good for democracy."

Whoever gets the most votes in the primaries and caucuses.
40% (2 votes)
Whoever gets the most delegates.
20% (1 vote)
Whoever gets the most superdelegates.

After the pledged delegates are ascertained, the superdelegates should vote.

The pledge delegates and the superdelegates should decide together.
20% (1 vote)
Whoever gets the most electoral college votes in the states in which they got the majority (of primary/caucus votes)

I just don't care.

OK...I am not really one who will rock the boat a lot
(maybe I do when you ask people who know me ...) but from what
I have seen in the last few days really opened my eyes.

Being in Real Estate I am very interested what is happening with
Indianans Taxes and with the assessment system and I was in the
fortunate situating to be able to talk to Cheryl Musgrave

Seems that the good people over at Color of Change aren't going to take this silly Super Delegate business sitting down:

Dear Lalita,

I really want to like Hillary Clinton. I mean I really want to like her as a fellow human being and child of God, but she and her main squeeze ain't making it very easy.

We've seen commentary on the color and fit of her outfits, her skin's tone and elasticity, her laugh, her demeaner and now her feelings.

John Kerry Rallies with Obama in South Carolina, endorsing Barack Obama as his presidential contender of choice and John Edwards doesn't seem all that happy about it.

Just as I was winding up to slog through the myriad holiday candidate commercials, the good people at The Bilerico Project saved me.

Pork! Perfect for Channukah! When I read this at the New York Daily News, I had to stop and scratch my noggin for a bit. I guess Balducci's, the Greenwich Village deli responsible for this--crap, I don't know what to cal it--didn't get the "ix-nay on the ig-pay" memo from their friendly neighborhood synagogue.

In this season of religious and political pandering, one would do well remember that politicians are mere posers here: the real experts in using religion to make a fast one are merchants.

See? Perspective. Don't you feel better?

A few days ago, I posted a poll asking whether the news media was directing or just reporting the progress of the candidates in their stop-action slide towards becoming "America's Next Top Executive." In true media style, they're trying to "find the story" and are reporting what can only be construed as heavily focused-grouped fare.
